My intentions were to update this thing at least once a week, but did you really think I was going to stick to that? I mean, it only took me 10 months, well really 19 if you count the pregnancy, to get the thing started. Anyways, enough about my procrastination...on to what has been going on with the family the last couple of weeks...
Auntie L came home for a visit at the end of July. We are always excited for her to come home, but we were extra excited this time since she had spent the greater part of the summer in Malaysia and this would be her first time back to Evansville. I was unsure if Kolten would remember her (sorry Lauren, but he is a baby) but he seemed to know exactly who she was.
Kolt had lots of new tricks to show auntie when she got home, like how he can stand by himself and what a "strong boy he is"
Also what an excellent clapper he is. He can stay right on beat to the "Hot Dog Song"
Auntie thought she might get him to take some steps by bribing him with snacks, but he just was not quite there yet. However; last night he took 10 steps in a row!! Looks like we are almost there.
The weekend of L's visit we took a "mini-trip" to St. Louis to see a ballgame and go to the zoo.
First we checked into the hotel room and Kolten decided he would enjoy the comfortable pillows...
No rest for the wicked though...he went straight into "dance party mode" showing off some of his classic moves.
Pop was super excited to take Kolten to his first ML game, check out those matching hats!
We tried to get a family picture, as you can see, that was a major fail.

Getting some pre-game love from Grammy, already a bit fussy unsure how we were going to handle this heat the rest of the night.
Auntie L giving Kolt a cool down, not sure if you can tell but his head is SOAKING WET. Bryce thought for sure this child was going to die of heat exhaustion and keep drenching him with water.
Right above where are seats were supposed to be there was a "special" seating area that had cushion seats and a rail right in front of it. We were lucky enough to be able to move there which made the heat a little more bearable and allowed for Kolten to get down and walk. However, this was a night game and we knew it was just a matter of time before he hit a wall...
Then...someone hit a homerun and Kolten lost it!!! Yes, the child who loves fireworks and other loud things was not in the mood for them on this night. We will blame it on the heat and the fact that it was well past his bedtime but this little man was OVER. IT.
Getting some much need TLC from Pop prior to leaving the game. Apparently the Cardinals won and Pujols hit some type of record hit, but I would have no clue about any of that:)
After the going to game, we realized that a zoo trip in 100 degree weather was just out of the question. So instead we decided to go check out the St. Louis City Museum. At first, everyone was pretty skeptical but it actually turned out to be pretty neat. If you are ever looking for an indoor activity while there you should def. check it out. Below are some pics of the sights.
We then finished up the trip with a meal at the Spaghetti Factory and headed home!
